a.^{^} Though there is a range of interpretations; Carl Blegen dates the arrival of the Greeks around 1900 BC, John Caskey believes that there were two waves of immigrants and Robert Drews places the event as late as 1600 BC.^{[৪৪][৪৫]} A variety of more theories has also been supported,^[৪৬] but there is a general consensus that the coming of the Greek tribes occurred around 2100 BC.
