Compare Central Atlas Tamazight ⴰⵏⵏⴰⵢ (annay, “to see”), Tuareg ǝnǝy, ǝnhǝy (“to see”), and also Egyptian nwꜣ (“to look”), whence Coptic ⲛⲁⲩ (nau, “to see, to look at, to perceive”).
